2008 Family-Owned & Closely-Held Business Award - 11/5/2008
Family_Owned_Business_Flyer_2008 The Family-Owned & Closely-Held Business Awards ceremony was hosted by the Business Journal on Nov. 5 at the San Diego Marriott Del Mar. The after-hours gathering recognized the accomplishments of businesses in the county that are family owned or closely held and honored nine businesses in three categories - small, medium and large. In addition, four Special Diamond Sponsor Awards were presented to select participants. ATS Advanced Trustee Strategies was selected as the finalist for the small business category. Event co-hosts included the Entrepreneurial Management Center in the College of Business Administration at San Diego State University and the Continuing Education Family Business Forum at University of San Diego.

2008 Five Star Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager
The list of 2008 Five Star Wealth Managers is an elite group, representing less than 3 percent of the wealth managers in the San Diego area. Only 256 of the top-scoring wealth managers made 2008's list. In June 2008, over 50,000 surveys were sent to leaders of financial service industries and high-net-worth residents in the San Diego area. On the surveys, recipients were asked to evaluate only wealth managers whom they knew through personal experience, and to evaluate them based upon nine criteria: customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, value for fee charged, meeting of financial objectives, post-sale service, quality of recommendations, and overall satisfaction.
